Closet thing I can come to Rangers/Astros was Rice/UH baseball 2001-2012. Rice was better most seasons, but their utter domination was something to behold. Wayne Graham was renting space in Rayner Noble's head. Rayner was already wound ridiculously tight, when it came to games vs Rice he took it to a new level. UH would invent ways to lose, it was a sight to behold.
As a coog the 1st few years were maddening, but over time it just became laughable.
A couple #s, during that time Rice was 51-11 vs UH. 21 games decided by 2 runs or less, Rice won 17.
An example of one of the bigger dick steppings, 2008, one of Rayner's last good teams. Coogs score 6 in the first, are up 11-5 in the 6th, and 11-9 going into the 9th.
Here is the play by play for B9.
