Don't agree with Bregman DH....we are better defensively with him at 3B.  We need our best out there.

How many times have you seen Gurriel play 3B?

Astros plate 2 unearned in the 2nd on back to back bases loaded walks by Jake and Springer. 2-0.

Blummer/Brownie's ability to not harp like fucking crazy on every borderline call with the animated strikezone thing is just amazing.

When I was a kid there was a guy who lived next door for a spell who would do this. The thing was, he was an Astros fan and he would yell SWING when the Astros were batting because he was convinced that if the players heeded his timing advice their results would improve.

T5: Musgrove loads the bases with one out but a pair of K's gets him out of it.

2-0.

6-0 after Carlos ties Tejada for the most RBI by Astros shortstop.   He'll have it maybe by the end of this game.

Is this really what you guys want to do...every time he gets a hit, you brag about him being the greatest player in history, and every time he makes an out I point that out?  Really?  You know the statistics are not on your side, right?

I'm sure the new abomination will grow on you

Like a wart on my dick.

That reminds me, I was at my team's game last Saturday. It might surprise some of you to discover how very popular I am among that crowd. I am forever greeting and chatting with a steady stream of people that pass by to say hello or who possibly have small requests of one kind or another - current players who are out with cards or injuries, former players, fans, team staff, assorted hangers on... Anyway, I spotted Alfin, the guy out with the clap. I sort of averted my gaze because I didn't want to be gladhanding that dude for obvious reasons. Sadly, as I was walking out after the game I was side by side with the club's manager who passed Alfin and apparently has no qualms in that area. So I had to shake his hand, too. I'm getting better! he assured me. Great! I said. I then sprinted out to the car like Alonso Edward out of the blocks and I smeared massive quantities of hand gel over every exposed area.

I'll let everyone know how it goes but so far so good.

I haven't done a detailed correlation, but they seem to play better when you're stateside HH. Maybe cool your jets for a while.

I think we figured out this team is not dependent on HH's travel schedule... It seemed to be at first but then he was around for the Toronto and St. Louis games... I think (I promise I'm not a stalker - just have a weird memory)

In that case, I think its definitely best for everyone that he stays in Sumatra (although I'm not sure midland is that different).

If anyone's interested you can watch the Seattle vs. Rangers game and see if Gomez can find a way to blow a three run lead.

You could not be more right and wrong at the same time.

Obviously I was speaking from the perspective of keeping you away from civilized society. I haven't been to Sumatra, but assume there may be some small differences relative to Midland.

Warts on Chuck's tally-wacker and another Correa discussion. Only in the GZ!!! Chuck, I'm elated to know of your popularity at the soccer field. It doesn't surprise me, of course.

Don't agree with Bregman DH....we are better defensively with him at 3B.  We need our best out there.

he has been on an error binge. sitting for a day won't hurt.

Gurriel was significantly better than Oakland's third baseman.

that poor guy. I loved Brownie's comment that the ball will always find him. that was my experience when I played someone strictly for his bat. every ball went to him.

I remember a funny Pedro Guerrero story from his days playing 3rd for the Dodgers. He was asked post-game what he was thinking in a tight situation when the other team was batting and had men on. "please, Lord. Don't let them hit it to me. And Lord, don't let them hit it to Sax either".

So just a few weeks ago the Astros had about 5 guys hitting under .220. Now we only have one. (I'm not calling Marisnick out, he has been getting on base well and playing outstanding defense as always). Anyway it sure is nice to see the bats doing well. I hope Rasmus can turn it around when he gets back.

Sax made the throw from 2B an interesting play. So did Chuck Knoblauch.
