Altuve ends up with an effective inside the parker. Hopefully that doesn't qualify as a first inning home run to the BBGs.

Not to worry. It's only solo first inning home runs that curse the Astros.

Springer with a two-run, two out hit to make it 4-0

Bregman with a ground rule double to make it 5-0

Altuve with a single to make it 6-0

Still up in the 2nd

Y'all have more confidence than me.  Keep em in and pile on.  I see that Carlos hit a homerun.  Was it a squeaker or a bomb?

He knocked it pretty good. Dead center cleared by 10 feet and got out pretty quickly.

Real good to see Reed hitting.  If he can get locked in that makes this lineup a ton more potent.  Still got to do something about Tucker in left.  Valbuena coming back would push Marwin to left.  Of course we have to hop Valbuena doesn't require another April

I'm reluctant to say that Reed has turned a corner on a day in which the Astros have 12 runs and 17 hits. He has two singles. I'd like to see something hit with a little authority first.

Luhnow really needs to fix this LH specialist spot next year.

They thought it was fixed

Altuve jogged to third and stopped. I hate not adding on. Good for Kemp to run hard.

Luhnow has certainly run in to some bum luck on a few trades/signings. Looking back I've been supportive or excited about each one (with exception of Congerbot). Maybe next offseason Luhnow is "due".

Why when they have Chapman up for one day?

Twins position player pitching in blowout.

Generally the team that hasn't given up 15 runs still has pitchers to use.

I'm not watching, but that has been characteristics of when I saw him.  I don't know if it is movement, deception or something else, but it didn't play like triple digit (or near) stuff.  That being said, he was not getting tagged when I saw him either.
