What is Valencia's hold over the Astros?

Shift Springer all the way over to center field, then throw the low inside curve to the left-handed batter. Gee, I wonder what will happen?

That was a poor effort by Marisnick on that sac fly. I didn't really think they would even challenge him.

I think they watered the grass. Between him and George they don't seem comfortable out there.

didn't look like he got himself into position for the throw. He had no momentum going forward when he caught it. The throw was all-arm.

Some lady ran out on the field before marisnick's at bat.

After Feliz and Harris, it must be a relief to see Gregerson saunter out of the pen. They have been nails.

I suppose my language was fairly imprecise. I was projecting myself into the mindset of the opponent.

Time to find a different closer.

Of course, the situation wouldn't be quite so dire if the fucking bats had done their job with a runner on 3rd and no outs in the bottom of the 8th.

Gregerson has the most blown saves in the league, has average stuff, before last year was a career set up man and Hinch treats him like he's Mariano Rivera. Loyalty is great, but, damn, stop going to the poisoned well.

I thought the game started at 6 so I just turned it on.  Here I was worried that last night foretold fewer extra-inning games.

if Jed had hit that pitch 10 feet less, Luke has a save and no one is bitching. Give Jed credit, I don't think it's time to send Luke to pasture, yet.

And yet he didn't. Just like the other night. And the other night before that. Folks have figured out that he's a one-trick pony, and since that trick isn't a 99-mph fastball, he's vulnerable.

That's why it's nice if your closer can throw harder than 89 mph.

As bad as a blown save is, it's great for the team to be able to celebrate like that. Overall this bullpen is great regardless of who might be the closer in a month.

Devenski and Neshek have done pretty well too.

I just wonder if making Feliz closer right now would be too much pressure on the kid. Have a feeling we might see Giles close first.

This and ballpark sound is why I only have to put up with Ashby during the occasional Spring Training game.
