It worked so it was good. I don't recall any mockery.

Springer played in 102 games last season (1 as a PH).  Of those 101 starts, he led off in almost half (46) of those games.  So, I don't see why it would be a surprise that Hinch would try him leading off again.

You may ask yourself, "How do I work this?"

Go ahead and overthink this, wise guy.

CJ, on your tombstone it's going to say "post hoc ergo propter hoc."

Yes sir, but nobody's going to understand what my tombstone means.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

I know it is dialogue from a West Wing episode (or at least, I think so), but ...

Lawyers know Latin because Latin is used in legal documents?
Paramecium know Latin because their kingdom, phylum, class, order, etc. are Latin names.

Amoeba-level logical thinking.

After, therefore before?

I'll bite. After <something> therefore as a result of <that same thing> ... A so-called "informal" logical fallacy.
