This team is a total goat rodeo. The Cy Young winner on the mound in a situation where they really need a win and they're getting pounded, shut out. What has to happen before there are serious changes? How bad does it have to get before something happens? It's early, sure, but this team made the post season after a magical start (with Marisnick playing out of his mind) and a non-repeatable season from Keuchel) and I think that what we've seen since is about who they are. Correa is not a fit at short. Where does he go? Third? By the end of the year I can see an infield of Correa, Bregman, Altuve and Moran. Maybe Moran at first. Maybe Bregman at third to start. Correa won't stick at short unless he gets a lot better, which he might, but he doesn't look like a shortstop.
There are also some options in the outfield. Luhnow is stubborn and will stick with Gomez apparently no matter what he does. Hell, for all I know the boy wonder will sign him to an extension this season.
But how bad does it need to get before things change significantly? If Luhnow is serious that Giles' problems are largely bad luck then just how delusional is he?
I wonder if there's any chance that Morey and Luhnow both get fired in the same year. That would be like taking a giant shit and not having to use hardly any toilet paper.
