I guess someone ought to do this for posterity.

Top 1:

Alcides Escobar pops out to center
Moustakas pops out to catcher
Cain Ks swinging

Heh, McHughes ERA dropped to 33.75 after completing the first inning.
Another trenchant comment by a jealous lesser intellect.

Bottom 1:

Altuve knocks first pitch into left field for a single; swipes second on second pitch.
Springer grounds out 5-3, failing to advance the little guy.
Correa spanks an outside pitch into the right field corner for an RBI double!
Rasmus crushes a two run shot way up into right! All RBIs so far coming on 2-2 counts.
*(Homers in first seven games of season sets a club record.)
White hits one well to center for an out.
Gomez grounds out 5-3 on a nice play by Moose Tacos.

Three runs on three hits, nobody left. 3-0 good guys.

Top 2:

Hosmer grounds out 4-3.
Morales lines out to center.
Gordon singles softly into right center.
Perez pops out foul to White.

The shutdown inning a welcome rarity in the early going!

Bottom 2:

Tucker grounds into the shift, 4-3.
Valbuena follows suit after a pretty good battle.
Castro, riding his first one-game bunt-for-a-hit streak of the year, Ks swinging on the third pitch. End of 2, still 3-0.

Top 3:

Infante Ks looking at a 1-2 curve on the inside corner.
Fuentes singles on a ball Correa almost made a nice play on. Probably should've had it.
Escobar flies out to right.
Moose Tacos pops out to left.

One hit, one left on, and I've got to scoot. Can someone take over?

Man, Valbuena got screwed there.
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed

By the way, what is MM like when Correa bats? I'm envisioning something between the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show and a One Direction concert.

McCullers with a 3 3 1 1 0 4 1 line tonight.   Gattis hit his second homerun

Let the record reflect that it is more akin to a state of bliss,  not unlike Cameron witnessing Sloane disrobe during Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

He can hit... he ain't pretty but he can hit

I love Jeff Bagwell, and I really, really hope he gets into the HOF this next go around.  But his induction speech may be painful to watch.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

I have almost no doubt it will be painful.
