If he is talking about the low pitch to Valbuena that was called a strike, I agree with him.  I just don't have the same flair for phrasing that he does.

Teixeira jacks one into the wind to the warning track, fly out to left
Beltran hits a long foul ball then grounds a base hit against the shift.
McCann walks on 5 pitches
Headley grounds up the middle, Correa boots then recovers and uses every inch of Marwin for the second out
Castro doubles on a hard line drive down the left field line, both runners score
Gregorius grounds out to short

2-0 bad guys after 2

Last season Dallas Keuchel allowed 4 or more walks one time (4 walks allowed June 20th at Seattle).

4 walks allowed so far today.

"Up" is not where Keuchel needs to be, so if he is, that's not end well for him.  I really need to blow the office and go find a bar somewhere.

The MLB fun police prevents me from listening here in Austin.  I can go out to my car and listen to it on AM 790 though.

I missed the first few batters due to work.

Gameday says:
Altuve Double
Springer infield hit Altuve to third
Correa FC Altuve scores
Correa steals second Rasmus with a soft groudout to second, Correa goes to third
Gomez takes one on the corner for strike 3

I'm out meetings for the next couple of hours

2-1 bad guys mid 4

Gomez looked completely lost on that at bat.   Maybe he just hates the cold.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Correa made a great play for the 1st out.

I rather think keuchel is settling in and will end up having a good game.

Altuve with a leadoff walk...need to make some hay here, boys.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Flipped to ESPN and holy shit. They are working SO hard not to show the ninja turtles on TV at all. Like maybe one second of the home plate angle per pitch, and the camera angle is SO low.

This is goddamn hilarious. ESPN, you are fucking pathetic.

Hey Yankees! You can take your crummy protest, and shove it up your ass!
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

Yes.  I think we all agree there is no way that should be ruled interference.

I think the only one who disagrees is probably Ashby and Giradi

Wow nice call by the radio guy.  Said usually after a pitcher thinks he should have gotten a call for strike three the next pitch doesn't work out too well.  One second later, Valbuena raps the 2 RBI double

I'm so fucking sick of Ashby already.  He's such a negative nancy.

I'm going to take every advantage to not listen to him.  Yes, i have to listen to the ESPN idiots, but I'll get enough of Asshby the rest of the season.

T8:

Betances in for the Yankees, to face the top o' the order...

Altuve...3-0...3-1...draws a leadoff walk
Altuve steals 2B
Springer flies out F7
Correa dribbles back to the box...Betances throws it into RF, Altuve scores, Correa reaches on the TE-1.

Girardi out to argue...umpires gather, ruling stands, what they could have been discussing I have no idea.  Girardi finally officially protests

Correa thrown out trying to steal 2B...Hinch challenging...call overturned...Correa safe at 2B

Rasmus walks
Gomez strikes out looking
Valbuena singles to RCF, Correa scores, Rasmus scores, moves to 2B on the throw.

That's it for Betances...Barbato in

White drilled by the first pitch
Marwin strikes out swinging

But the Astros plate 3 runs...now lead 5-2 in the middle of the 8th

Dear Alan Ashby,

You can try and convince me what a great umpire Dana Demuth all you want, but I'm not buying it. Seeing a ball hit the ground and not letting Castro buy the call is not impressive.

You are a fuckstick.

Mark

B8:

Giles in for the Astros...

Gregorius (I still can't see his name and not think of Cha Cha DiGregorio from Grease) homers to RCF
Ellsbury...full count...strikes out swinging
Gardner, pinch hitting for Hicks...strikes out looking
ARod grounds out 6-3

Yanks cut the lead, but to the 9th...Astros up 5-3

Good win...good GameZone.  Great start to the season!

Great to follow along here at work, under the umbrella of a draconian internet/communications filter. Why it blocks sites like Twitter and mlb.com but lets through a site named Orangewhoopass, I'll never know. But I am grateful for it.

Good job, everyone, and thanks.

Mark and Buster are home together while Mark works.

It's the fact that Mark seems to scare Buster that I'm worried about.

Seriously, Yankees.  You have eleventy gajillion dollars and you can't buy an Astros flag that isn't tattered?
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

Buster relocated to the living room and is now comfortably napping/planning what belongings of mine to eat tonight.

He'll be okay.

Buster is large enough to run in the Kentucky Derby. he'll be fine.

Damn fine way to start the season! Has 162 - 0 been called in the Race for the Lid?!? If not, I'm taking it!

Got back from the bar and just finished reading through the GZ, excellent work, and an excellent way to start the season.
You may ask yourself, "How do I work this?"

I won't promise every GZ all season, but I DO promise to fucking bring it when I'm here.
