Ugh.  I HATE anything rainbow.  It's the worst uniform imaginable.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

I really don't like the blue BP jerseys with the rainbow underarms.  I don't like the orange tops, either.  I prefer white (home)and gray (road),  Love the orange caps.

I love the BP jerseys and own one. The orange tops aren't bad as alternates. I wouldn't like to see the rainbow unis return though.

If they've got to muck with the uniforms, at least they should bring back the "Shooting Star" blue uniforms. One of the best looking MLB unis in all history.

This is what bugs me most about rainbows. The Astros have one of the most beautiful, classic uniforms in history right there in their stable, yet they make players wear clown suits. It's like having a classic Ferrari in the garage while you insist on driving around in an '84 Yugo.

Yessiree. I wish they had gone back to that as the every day suit when they last changed over. Their new unis are good but the shooting star was totally unique to their franchise and captured what the brand was about.

The late 90s ones?  I loved those.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

I didn't. I love the original shooting star, from the '60's. It'd be fantastic if they brought that back.

I only think of the original shooting stars jerseys. I didn't like the ones in the 1990's at all.

There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Acosta said the Astros will wear the jersey in Spring Training with two-tone lettering on the back featuring palm trees. The team will wear a Spring Training patch as well

huh?

It's for sales. I like the new jersey. At least it isn't the rainbow gut again.

So this is the new "alternate"?  Does that mean the Orange "alternate" is fazed out? Or do they now have two alternates? And, it's pretty much the BP/spring trading  jersey, so do we see a different bp jersey this year?

Blue jerseys are for Sunday home games only.  Orange jerseys will still be worn on Friday home games and possibly other times as the team sees fit.
