And the Scurvy Pervies Mariners may have lost Iwakuma who they had hoped to re-sign. Allegedly has been signed by the Dodgers.

If I move my large family to Seattle, bumping them up to the #15 TV market and Houston down to the #16 market, will Luhnow leave some tickets for me at Safeco Field will call?

Adam Lind to Seattle.  Apparently he's a platoon-only kind of guy, but his numbers are pretty damned good.

Iwakuma apparently failed his physical/possibly killing his deal with Dodgers and now the Ms may be trying to sign him again.

ETA:
Signed 1-year deal w/vesting options with Seattle.

I love Correa, but isn't that a tad premature in a division that has Mike Trout?

Yep, you can find places (including the ESPN article) where he's mentioned as the player who "could" challenge Trout and Harper for best in the game, but he's not there yet.  The potential is there, but Trout and Harper aren't slowing down, either.

I will settle for him being mentioned in their potential class.

This. This right here. Let's tamp down the expectations of this kid. Trout and, to a lesser extent, Harper, have put up big numbers over an extended period of time. Correa may well rival their numbers, but he's not done so yet. I'm very optimistic that he will do so, but there could still be some growing pains this season and beyond. He's just dripping wet with talent though.

Rangers sign Ian Desmond to play LF with Josh Hamilton on the shelf to start the season. 1 yr/$8MM deal. Texas forfeits 19th overall pick in draft (though they did pick up a compensation pick when Gallardo signed with Baltimore).

And Desmond forfeits nearly $8MM by having declined the QO (and the Rasmus decision to accept his continues to look very smart on his part).
