Wouldn't want to be in Puerto Vallarta about right now.

I wonder about Acapulco, too. It looks like they'll miss the brunt of the storm, but I am curious how much rainfall they'll get. If it's enough, it is not too hard to imagine everything on those hillsides sliding down into Acapulco Bay.
Shall we go, you and I, while we can,
Through the transitive nightfall of diamonds?

My in-laws own property in Manzanillo. I've been in touch with some people down there today and they are just hunkered down waiting to see what's going to happen.
I love Geoff Leach.  Every day.

5 day forecast has it near Laredo by Sunday 2am still at tropical depression strength. Worst rains I recall, in 96 or 97, was from a late season hurricane (September) that crossed Mexico and hit cold weather in Texas. Bryan got 22" of rain in 24 hours of something crazy like that.
