Carter has more hits, home runs and RBIs than Correa the last three games.  Just saying...

He was just recently called up.

ETA: And, of course, RB has already picked him up in the mihoba league.

That's good because my best working logical explanation was that Starling Marte developed an affinity for overpriced vodka and a desire to play infield.

B3:

Marisnick HBP...drilled right on the left ankle.  Stays in the game, but expect him to miss time.
Altuve flairs one just over second baseman's head, Marisnick sprints to 3B
Marwin grounds into fielder's choice, Marisnick out 5-2.  Altuve to 2B
Correa strikes out swinging
Altuve steals 3B
Gattis grounds into FC, Marwin out 5-4

Not exactly a stellar run through the  heart of the order.

Still tied 1-1 after three.

Wonder if Conger was suspecting some communication between the runner on second and Trumbo, or some peeking by Trumbo based on the late fake of his target.

That's a reasonable point. But you can ratchet up the hilarity if you find someone who already has an entertaining accent.

And another point, I don't know which is more comical, Lowrie's Little League helmet or his oven mitt sliding gloves.

Either way it's funny to imagine him slump busting in one or the other.

If Lowrie, Gomez, and Gattis all start hitting, this could be a lot of fun.

One of the strangest things about this season is how random who's hitting has been.  From game to game you could probably fill that in with if [tonight's home run hitter] starts hitting, this could be lot's of fun.  Other than Altuve, the only consistency has been it's completely whacked randomness.

Maybe he knows HH is on a conference call.

I'm off now, but as soon as I leave, the Astros hit three dingers and score a shitload of runs.

You're welcome.

So was I. And I am not alone in thinking it is far from certain that Brownie was just throwing out a random hypothetical with the way he described a potential callup who's not interested in working. I mean, might have been totally random but I didn't hear it that way.

Apropos to nothing, Marwin is so important to this team.

I love Marwin.  Similar to how you root for journeymen, I root for guys who can play well at lots of different positions.  Possibly because I never could.

I think there's more green and silver out there than orange.

I think Perez must be pressing.

Have YOU ever been to Seattle in the summer? It's no wonder those freaks beat it out of there and head to Houston for their vacations.

He didn't make it look easy, he made it look gentle.
