T1:

Astros don't score a run.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

B1:

Burns with a leadoff walk
Burns steals 2B at half speed as Conger can't reach 2B on what may be the weakest throw I've ever seen above the high school level.
Crisp walks
Reddick flies out F7
Valencia doubles, Burns scores, Crisp scores
Vogt pops out F4
Lawrie grounds out 5-3

A's grab a 2-0 lead.

McHugh has barely been getting by lately, he owes his record to great run support.

T2:

Tucker strikes out weakly on three pitches
Valbuena walks
Carter, who'd I'd almost forgotten was the on the team and who's last hit was July 28th...singles to CF, Valbuena to 2B
Conger grounds into 4-6-3 double play

Middle of the second...2-0 A's.

Davis strikes out looking
Semien strikes out swinging
Sogard walks
Burns strikes out

So McHugh strikes out the side...A's still lead 2-0 after two

And then Valbuena hits the shit out of a ball but is lucky to avoid being tagged out at 2nd.

Somebody flies out F9 on a nice play by Reddick
Tucker homers to RF!
Valbuena hits one that rattles in the RF corner, and jogs around 1B...should have been out, but the throw off line
Carter hits a flaming line drive, but right at LFer
Conger stikes out looking

Astros pick up a run...2-1 A's

I'm getting tired of losing 1-run games to inferior clubs.

I'm going to go water some plants. Neil, go to your garage. Everybody go do the thing you do when you step away from the game (and the team scores before you come back) and then come back.

I was taking a shit when Tucker hit the home run.  I'll see what I can do.

B7:

McHugh out, Sipp in

Sogard extends an at bat as Valbuena can't handle a foul pop again...but this one was much tougher...but goes down on strikes
Burns strikes out swinging...the 10th K of the game
Fuld grounds out 4-3

Still 2-1

The other night they had 13 hits and scored 9 runs and were never even in the game.

Lowrie pinch hitting for Valbuena...with a leadoff walk, Marisnick in to pinch run

That's it for Pomeranz...Mojica in to pitch

Carter flies out F7 at the wall in LF...he stung it, but not the right trajectory
Marisnick takes off for 2B, but Mujica balks...Marisnick to 2B
Conger flies out F8, Marisnick tags and moves to 3B, but two out
Altuve swings at the first pitch that's three feet outside and grounds out 5-3 to end it

Astros lose 2-1
