Great: Ashby's back.

first post after the line-ups and it is pretty much an Ashby sucks post.

I got used to hearing Blum and now he's done. I think he may be done for the season.  On the road trip Ash and Blum were talking about Blum going surfing in June.

I'm stuck with the audio, because, while I'm a mere 2 states and 300 miles from Baltimore, I'm such a self-entitled degenerate I don't have directV.

I'm surprised you think you're not in the Astros market area.

Obie doing well, but other than that, you aren't missing a thing.  I wonder if the Astros hit a buck fifty as a team for the first three innings.

Wait, a hit. Tucker with a double.

Not surprisingly, I was wrong about the first inning troubles. Basically, they hit as well the first three innings as the last three innings. 230 ish. I had convinced my self otherwise.

Steve Pierce is a former Astro.  Somebody better report in former Astros news that he just walked.

I heard them say that also.  I didn't realize that but I do wonder when  and I'm not going to report it.

They seem to have an uncanny ability to space their hits just enough that they don't yield runs. And when they clump them Villar turns baserunners into outs.

For some reason all I am thinking is that Villar is our goat this season.

And the sky views they are showing are beautiful.

Khris Karter just took a swing and missed.  Surprise!

I think Castro is going to have a big bruise.  That looked incredibly painful.  I do not want Conger as the main catcher right now.

Don't know. Seems like it's in the same vein as a trap in the outfield, which as far as I know is reviewable.

Sometimes tough to define when the catch is made and transfer is started. That would be my guess. That play is pretty clear but many are not.

I guess they're hoping that the throws will be off-line, but that strategy isn't working. Especially when the runners are so late that the throws could be 10 feet off-line and the catcher could still get back to the plate in time.

It was NOT a good throw. Martin was still not even to 3b when the ball was fielded. Young could have rolled the ball home.

Anybody got the inning and the score?
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Headed B6 2-1 Orioles

Thanks.  Stuck on a conference call and MLB app not working

We claimed Harris off of waivers? Given how effective he's been, that's just hard to imagine.

It would be like letting go of JD Martinez.

Yeah, I looked it up last week. He didn't suck for AZ IIRC. Kind of weird, but cool nonetheless.

Weird to pull Ubaldo there. He did not appear to be laboring at all. He looked pissed.

And conger gets a hit. Cool

Yes, so is Gattis bat with runners in scoring position.

He's still sort of young in experience. If he learns to lay off the crap, he might be real special, cause he can hit.

Hank Greenberg always claimed that the only statistic that mattered for him was RBIs.  You kinda feel that with Gattis.

Nice easy 1-2-3 for Neshek.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

To be fair, that was tough. It was so deep in the hole, I thought it was going through. 3b coach owns that unless Rasmus ran thru his stop.

Does anyone else see Hamilton when Davis bats. It's uncanny to me: the looks, the homers, the flailing Ks.
