With Keith Bodie's firing back in Sept. leaving a managerial vacancy at CC, the expected musical chairs is occurring: Rodney Linares to move up from Lancaster with Omar Lopez going from QC to the Jethawks. Josh Bonifay makes the leap from Greeneville to the River Bandits.

(Per McTaggart tweet)

I wonder why Ed Romero didn't go from Tri-City to QC. The V-cats have had more success the last 4 years than anyone could've expected, given the talent provided.

Astros press release with all the managers, coaches and coordinators for 2015 (with the exception of the Greeneville managerial position which is still TBA).

61 of the 65 staff members are returnees from 2014 (albeit some in different slots than they were last year).

...with Omar Lopez going from QC to the Jethawks.

Lopez named manager of the year in the Venezuelan Winter League.

Quote
Lopez led Caribes de Anzoategui to the playoffs with a league-best 39-24 record to receive 47 of the 50 first-place votes from a panel of Venezuelan sports journalists. [He] was the youngest manager in the Venezuelan Winter League during the 2014-2015 campaign.

If you haven't been following the Caribbean Series, Lopez's Venezuela squad beat Cuba on Thursday to go undefeated in 1st round play and have advanced to the semifinals which I believe are on Saturday with the final on Sunday.

Koby Clemens returns to the org, initially as an extented spring training instructor with the expectation that eventually he'll be added to the minor league staff permanently. And get this: "...part of Koby Clemens' duties will be working with the organization's young catchers".

I imagine that Koby Clemens has had the best baseball instruction available in Houston over the past 20 years.  He may not be able to do, but he might be able to teach.

which is often the case. the very best players just do, and they have no idea why they are great.
