Didn't realize Johnson was a side armer.

I didn't either.  You'll recall that Johnson was 36, and was disappointed that he didn't win the game for the Astros against the Mariners, since he was a train and the Astros have a train.

That's pretty incredible.

I think I saw Jim running onto the field at the end.  [/Obligatory]

I would like to see someone try to pitch like that today.

And those follow-throughs. I think every pitcher landed his front foot and tried to slow his forward motion to be ready to field.

And he was wearing a coat and tie and a proper hat.  I miss the old days.

Actually, Jim never wears ties.

I love the pitching motions.  It reminds me of some footage I saw once of Warren Spahn, I think it was. Anyway, a 1950s or earlier big lefthander.

It made me really understand the old phrase "pitching from a rocking chair".

If you ever want to hear a funny story, get Coach to tell you about the time that he got drunk and heckled William Henry Harrison during his two hour plus inauguration speech back in 1841.

I think I was home watching baseball...or maybe out with a beautiful woman.

it had to be one of those two.

Does one ever get too old for the idea of being with a beautiful woman?

Would the real Slim Shady please say WFW?

I think that's as opposed to Reece's Pieces.
