You know, when I was a youngster, before the Astros even existed, my brother and I used to really look forward to the weekly fish stick night. We would pound those things down.

And now, with the benefit of decades of my own experience and a lot of hindsight, I realize how hard my folks were working to stretch their dollars, and how they did so without complaint (at least that we youngsters could recognize). Makes me love 'em that much more.

Up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy
But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

Brutal top of the 4th, gave up 7 and it felt like we got off light.

In response to giving up 7 in the top of the frame, Astros hitters go down in order in their half.  Lame.

I'm a big fan of fish sticks, and isn't this a great game?

You mean baseball?  Yeah, baseball is a great game.

I tuned back into the game to see if Altuve was going to get his 4th straight hit and saw he was lifted for pinch hitter Marc Krauss at the top of the inning whe down by 6. I'm trying to imagine in what bizarro-world universe that makes sense.
Another trenchant comment by a jealous lesser intellect.

You are still trying to make sense of this?  I admire your stick-to-it-ness.

I tend to ponder the more trivial things at this point.  Like that I once had a footy coach named Lawless, he was a cop.

They used to make fish sticks out of real fish like haddock or cod. They were good. You can't get good fish sticks anymore. Now it's all a bunch of fish crap mashed into a fish stick shape, battered and fried.
