Exactly ... Craft brewing in this country has become a contest to see who can put the most hops into an otherwise drinkable beverage. We are all guinea pigs in a hops-tolerance study.
I have yet to find a beer that's too hoppy for my taste. My only gripe with the craft beer explosion is the alcohol content. I like to drink more than one beer a night, and a pint of
barley wine is not conducive to that preference.
In fact, other than fruit-based beers, the only
type of beer I don't like is brown ale, as it is just dishwater with (or maybe without) a head. Now, there are plenty of
brands that I don't like, who make horrible versions of types of beer that I do like, but that's not the same thing (obviously).
