Is Carter hurt? He went 2-5 Saturday and hasn't been out of the dugout since.

Will you please make up your mind? When he's in the lineup, you complain, and now that he's not, you still complain. Sigh.

The team has been hitting really well, but there is a question to be had going back to a thread earlier this year (and before that) regarding where to put your hitters.  Given that thread, as well as the performance of the team to date, would you make any adjustments?  I'm not sure I would to be honest - need to think on it a bit as they are generally hitting well.  The comparison, for me at least, would be the current lineup versus something like...

Fowler
Altuve
Springer
Dominguez
Castro
...fill out the next 4 in any order...

I could go for what you propose. Springer in the three makes some sense.

I am curious about Carter's status too.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Is anyone else having trouble with the mlb.com feed? It thinks I'm in the blackout territory of one or another team and, well, I'm not. I can't get any of the games to stream so I don't know if everything's fucked up or just my IP address or what.

I've had a good feed all night, though I'm only half watching the game.

Get off his back! He wasn't complaining. If you or Reuben don't like what he says, y'all should ignore him and quit making personal attacks. He's never said one negative thing about any poster on this board, ever. He's never questioned anyone's intelligence or told anyone to fuck off. Sure he pisses and moans a lot, but he's a geezer.

Actually, he kinda randomly called me a dumbass one day.  I guess it technically wasn't the GameZone, and maybe I am one, but it sure was annoying.

Can't seem to break it open on Guthrie. First two on, but a DP and eventually zilch. Still lead 1-0.

If the ball's out of reach, dive for it.  At least they'll know you're trying.

When I was five or six or so my mom made cookies for me to bring to class for my half birthday. It wouldn't have occurred to me to measure it otherwise. Now, they weren't the concentrated bacon fat, Italian espresso, Peruvian chocolate, organic tarragon cookies that you casually whip up. No, they were cookies a normal person might make. Toll House, most likely.

Anyway, I vividly remember bursting into my classroom proudly carrying a tray of cookies. I was surely wearing my white cleats because those were my favorite shoes and there was no telling me no on that sort of deal back then. People wondered what the hell was going on because everyone knew my birthday was not close. It literally could not be farther away as it turns out. But I got to make a bit of a scene and that's pretty much all I ever wanted so it all worked out.

BTW, i made a pound cake today.  One pound of butter made it pretty tasty.

What are you, the public defender? This is SnS/OWA/AC. In the old days, we were much chippier than we are now, to our current detriment. We've gentrified the place and it doesn't have the old bite to it, which is sad. Political correctness strikes again. Sheesh.

Carry on then, Mr. Happy. But I was not asking for political correctness, I was asking you to treat someone better. I'm sorry if you are too obtuse to understand the difference.

Your point is made. I will then treat Geezerdonk with a bit more courtesy. I don't believe in the "ignore" button as a solution. I don't ignore anyone (other than that spammer who got Spacked last week). However, four people ignore me, which is okay. Different strokes for different folks. However, I'm in good company on that score, as four people also ignore Coach.

I would like to know who they are so I could give each a personal "go fuck yourself."

one likely is Mark!
