Groundout, whiff, groundout in a perfect 1st for Cosart. All 5 of his pitches in the inning were for strikes.

This is getting silly--3 straight strikes and Ramos goes down to end the 2nd. 12 Cosart pitches, 12 strikes. What's he been eating today?

That's 15 up and 15 down for Cosart with nine strikeouts, four tappers to the mound and two fly balls to center field. Dominating.

Cosart almost walked the pitcher in the 3rd, so he's definitely thrown some balls. Gameday I think doesn't really track pitches in ST.

Folty just pitched the 7th for the Astros, facing the meat of the Nats' order.

Werth line single to CF
Harper lazy fly to LF
Ramos bloop single to RF
LaRoche hard fly out to CF
Rendon swinging K

FB sat 94 at first, then flashed 96, 97, then strike 3 on Rendon was 99. Offspeed stuff about 86. I'd say he's making an impression.

Btw Jesus Guzman just launched an oppo shot to RF.

DVR alert: MLB Network is supposed to re-broadcast this game at 11:30. Since this is a MASN telecast and not a CSN Houston telecast, one would think (hope?) it shouldn't be blacked out.
