If the Horns pull this out Mack Brown should be given a lifetime coaching contract.

With the conference championship on the line, the Okie State defense just collapsed.  Ugly.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

I'll say this for Baylor...of the 47 different uniforms they have, they finally chose a decent one for this game.

LSU will probably get them in the Cotton Bowl. LSU will have a freshman QB who has never started a game.

Yep.  His MO is to mix in a great one between all of those crappy ones, so he is due.

Defense is playing well though, even without much QB pressure.

I was hating rooting for OU to beat OSU. First time I've ever pulled for the Sooners in any Bedlam game. I think it would be cool to see Texas win the conference title but it wouldnt stink too much if it's Baylor.

Good game between Missouri and Auburn. Auburn leads 21-20 in the 2nd quarter.

They're dumbasses too. My former father-in-law had Philadelphia Eagles season tickets, and we used to go to some of those games. There were always a cadre of Eagles fans with painted chests no matter the temperature. I asked why, and one of them told me that they were union boys who were drunk as skunks before every game. That explains it.

I went to a December game in Green Bay once. At kickoff it was right around zero. It was cold enough that your beer, if you were dumb enough to have bought one, and I was, would freeze. As in freeze solid.

Anyway, there was a lot of talk about who would wear sleeves and why. It was the consensus that anyone with a chance to carry the ball would prefer not to wear sleeves because they like the feel of the ball on their bare arms. That makes sense I guess but if your forearm is numb it might not end up being a huge advantage.

If Ohio State ends up in the championship game instead of Auburn (or Florida State) because of this tomfoolery I just might come around to the theory that the BCS is not actually the best system for determining the participants in the championship game.  I know that sounds extreme, but there's something a bit off about this process.

I'll have to give Ohio State this...they run the ball.  That's my kind of football.  I'm a 3 yards and a cloud of dust kind of guy.

I am completely unconvinced of Fla St's legitimacy. They're going to have to beat somebody more imposing than Duke before I'm willing to give them a shot at the national championship.

Ohio State was finally exposed for the fraud that it is. They play terrible defense. Don't get me wrong; Hyde and Miller are special players. Florida State is pretty good. In my opinion, only a battle-tested SEC school has a chance against them. That should be Auburn.

I don't know.  I was more impressed with Ohio State than I thought I'd be.  Michigan State is a good team.  But I agree, their not the second best team in the country.  Probably top 10, however.  Florida States best win was, of course, at Clemson, but they ran away with that one.  They haven't been tested, at all.  Auburn will have its hands full.  Too bad I won't be watching it.

Very glad MSU won - much prefer playing them in Rose Bowl as Big10 champs than as backed-in, borderline BCS opponent.

Wow what a season by my Auburn Tigers.  Mr. Happy told me not to despair when his Tigers beat mine. Looks like his prophetic skills were right on.  War Eagle! I am very concerned about the match up between FSU's offense and AU's defense.  I am not sure we will be able to keep up scoring with them.

I saw great things coming from that team. The talent was obvious. I think that it will be a great game. Take the over.
No doubt.  The over/under line for the SEC Championship game was 59.5.  Auburn almost got there by themselves.
Always ready to go to a game.

Not great bowl draws for the Big XII.... UT, Tech, OSU and OU are likely to get crushed.  Baylor will get a good fight out of UCF but should win.  K-State-Michigan is a toss-up.

Aggies playing... nevermind, they left the conference.  I don't care.

Conagrats Duman.  My wife is an Auburn grad, which pretty much makes me an Auburn fan.  She spent 8 hours yesterday trying to find a hotel in Pasadena.  We were there in 2005 and 2009 for the 'Horns so now it's her turn.  Auburn was a great story this year and I'm happy for them and their supporters.  War Damn Eagle!

+1 War Damn Eagle indeed.

Where are all my OWA Baylor brethren?

Was at the game. It was cold, but honestly not as bad as I expected. Winning surely helped that. Nice little ceremony postgame with both the trophy presentation and turning out the lights.

Not as bad as you expected?!?  I'm still thawing out...
Was very impressed with the turn out considering the weather (was an 8-hour round trip from Fort Worth).
That said... had an awesome time (freezing fog in my face notwithstanding) - loved the post game (and being on the field for it).
