59/41.  It says I'm balanced, which is the first time that's ever been said of me.

FWIW, I am somewhat ambidextrous, so this makes some sense.

59/41...
FWIW, I am somewhat ambidextrous, so this makes some sense.
I am strictly left handed when writing or eating, strictly right handed when throwing or serving (tennis, ping-pong, volley ball...) but  am equally shitty at hitting baseballs, kicking soccer balls, or shooting hoops from either side.

How does it go, I would give my right arm to be ambidextrous?

I have similar handedness - Write, eat, Ping pong and shoot pool left handed, all gross motor skills right handed.  I can play ping pong pretty well right handed as well.  I am right footed but could use my left pretty well when I played soccer.

I shoot and box left-handed; my dominant eye is the left one. I could hit from both sides of the plate, throw with either hand and write with either hand, but it seemed that all those things were a function of training and repetition. If I kept at it, I could do those things better but if I let it go they'd suffer.

I couldn't draw for crap, but when it became part of my job as well as something my toddler daughter enjoyed, with repetition I actually got pretty good at it. I let it go for several years, picked it up recently and was awful again. I can't speak for other people's experiences, but for me it seemed pretty natural and normal, just consideration and concentration. Is that different from other's experiences? Or is it some Flowers for Algernon thing?

I couldn't hit from either side and can't draw a damn thing. The thing that I did do lefty was play hockey.

I'm sure I played all the hockey I ever played left handed.

I found out I have a brain!

I'm 9% right brain and 11% left.

The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Is "gross motor skills" what DeAndre was demonstrating?

Thank you. I've been watching this thread for two days waiting for a DeAndre joke. This place is really slipping.

59/41.  It says I'm balanced, which is the first time that's ever been said of me.

FWIW, I am somewhat ambidextrous, so this makes some sense.

I got 44 left/56 right. The "balanced" result.

I use writing and eating utensils with my right hand, but do quite a few things left-handed. Drive, knife work, etc. And I can write left-handed more neatly than most people writing with their "opposite" hand can.

This kind of stuff is interesting to me because I was born left-handed and a preschool teacher forced me to write as a righty. I've got a huge creative dreamer side with a healthy streak of nerdy, particular control freak in there, which keeps me from being that "flighty" creative artiste type. Although I do admittedly have trouble with time management.

When I take these kinds of tests, I always end up with "balanced" results, although the larger number flips from left to right. I've always wondered if I'd have turned out this way if that particular teacher hadn't gotten hold of me.

In an interesting twist of fate, or perhaps karma, both of the offspring to which I gave birth are solidly left-handed.
