When he gave Houston the finger in his post AFC Championship win interview, I gave up all civility towards him.  I see I'm not alone.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

He may or may not have been a horrible human being, but as an owner he was one lousy piece of crap.
Everyone's talking, few of them know

Does anyone else here remember the draft parties he hosted at the Adam's Oil Bldg way before they were televised?

This kind of thing always reminds me how weird I think it is to live on the principle that you never speak ill of the dead.  Now, I'm not happy that anyone who dies, is dead (bin Laden, Hitler etc. excepted).  But I'm not going to become a liar just because of that fact.  Also, this only seems to apply to the recently deceased.  After an indeterminate amount of time, they become a historical footnote and all bets are off.
Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

The 2013 GameZone is still open.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

I had the same thoughts as Limey....I didn't want him to die so much, but just because he finally did croak, doesn't change the fact that I hated him for what he did.. Now Bum's kicking the door down in Heaven and Bud's probably trying to kick the door down to get outta hell...anyway
Thought I'd throw this in....I felt compelled to e-mail McClain in September when he wrote the, "Adams should be in the HOF" article..I didn't need to read the article, I know his significance etc.,,I just felt like any pro Bud Adams stuff in a Houston paper needed to be challenged

MY MESSAGE: to McCain
Yeah, if they have an Asshole Hall of Fame put him in on the first ballot by all means. He ruined the Dome and Houston football....by the way put yourself on the ballot for writing this piece of crap while you are at it.

Remember Jesus Alou being called out of the 1st base coaching box to pinch-hit a double vs. the Reds in '79 I think, to win a crucial game, and he patted Morgan on top of the head (ala Benny Hill w/the little bald guy) and Little Joe got pissed.....yeah,that was great.

McLain was being remarkably restrained considering what an insufferable douchebag you were.
