The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Cruz  grounding out to end the game was a nice touch.

I will take great solace in the fact that Arlington will play as many playoff games as the Astros this season.

Ranger fan in my office had to come in and spill his blather this morning, doing his best to steal 30 minutes of my life to discuss them. As if I gave the slightest fuck. I like the guy so I don't want to be a total jerk, but among the noncommittal grunts I did get in a dig about playing in to a play in game. He was very happy about their chances against Price.

Fuck the Rangers.
I'm in love with rock and roll and I'll be out all night.

Watching tonight, all I kept thinking was if we'd just been able to beat them one more goddamn time, this game wouldn't even be happening.  Thankfully, the Rays won... so SUCK IT, metroplex bandwagoners!

Wait. A. Second.  There is only ONE playoff team from the AL West?!?  I thought the AL West was going to have 4 playoff teams because the Astros ruined the integrity of baseball and stuff...
In the end, my dissolution with the game of baseball will not be a result of any loss of love for the game, rather from the realization that I can no longer bear the anger its supposed stewards cause to be built up in my soul. -Lee (01/08/2013)

They will have as many "playoff" wins as the Astros.

And Cruz wasn't supposed to be eligible until the playoffs!

Cruz supported the Rangers shutdown.

If it came down to it, I'd choose Ryan over Daniels on anything. There are things Ryan has done that I hate but still have a lot of respect and admiration for the man.
