Opening Day 2014
« on: September 20, 2013, 11:05:28 am »
I got a letter from the Astros about group tickets for 2014. There is a presale window through Thursday, October 3, and presale ticket prices are subject to change on the first of each following month starting November 1. They included a note that the presale window we're in now saved participants 17% over prices available during the season.

They did not include prices for Opening Day, they want us to call so I sent an email. They did include prices for the rest of the season, which will no doubt be cheaper than Opening Day. Just to give us a guess until I hear back, for the premium series (which includes the Yankees), the prices are:

Budweiser Patio, $70
Field Box I-III, $48
Field Box IV, $31
Bullpen Box, $29
Club Box I, $65
Club Box II, $49
Power Club, $45
Mezzanine, $22
All You Can Eat, $37
Terrace Deck, $24
View Deck I, $17
View Deck II, $14

The minimum order is 20 tickets. We have 12 days to make a decision. Who's in, and where would you like to sit?

I'm in love with rock and roll and I'll be out all night.

Not as bad as I was expecting.  But, depending on the section chosen, I'm in.

My only preference would be to not be in the outfield.

OK, that's 22. We can get Field Box V, sections 132-134, row 21 or so, for $60 each. We can also get Bullpen, sections 150-156, for $50 each. You pay me, I pay them, due now or before my credit card statement comes in.

The seating chart: http://houston.astros.mlb.com/hou/ticketing/seating_pricing.jsp

What's your pleasure? Let's nail this down before Friday.

Ok. I'll arbitrarily set 10am Austin time tomorrow for the cutoff of discussion. If I haven't heard anything to the contrary, I'll buy 22 tickets in the 317-321 area for those who have posted and said they'd like to go. I'll need to get paid soon after.

Assholes like that wonder why they're single.

Do you remember when this dickwit blew into town? He came from somewhere like Kentucky with his fedora and his tired SRV act. He spammed craigslist looking for bandmates, friends, fans, sympathy, everything but a decent haircut. This was back when everyone like him had a Myspace page and his was full of photobombs with his many 'friends.' Some of them were particularly hilarious. The drummer for Kragger would be posing for a picture with some idiot, both grinning, and there's Romeo in the shadowy background over the drummer's shoulder with a look like he'd just been caught beating off in a public restroom.

I tried to launch a plan to get hundreds and hundreds of people to go see him play as a goof to feed his out of control delusions but sadly he never seemed to manage to get any gigs.

Also, the dude can't find a date and he's a wedding photographer?!?! If you can't meet a chick at a wedding then I can't help you.
