Milo really ought to be considered in the "living room era," since, at least in my opinion, he was past his prime when he showed up in Houston to take Gene Elston's job in 1986.

He wasn't any good doing Cubs games before that either.

I was giving him the benefit of the doubt there, but I was a harry Caray fan, and he too was well past his prime.

I'm in the minority I guess in that I liked Millo in the 80s and 90s.

Milo used to be a terrific broadcaster.  I listened to him with the Braves back in the 70's, and I've heard audio of him going back to the White Sox and the Browns.  By all accounts he was terrific his first 30 years.  He's been terrible for the last 20 and a complete train wreck the last 10.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

I don't know about that. I do know that the booth wasn't big enough for both Milo and Harry Caray. Cubfan obviously favored Caray. In all honesty, Milo didn't become the unlistenable cartoon character that he became until about 10-15 years ago. However, I just always will hold the firing of Gene Elston against him, even though he probably had little to do with it.

What is the point of this reorganization? What does the Hall feel this will accomplish?

I don't know, but I'm sure Facebook and Twitter will somehow be involved.
