Oy. Carter AND Krauss in the OF. Keep the ball down, Bud!

That would be even better, although Dominguez-Villar-Altuve-Wallace is exponentially better than the defense in the OF.

Bud better pitch well if he wants to be a contender.

Bud not doing too badly.  Struck out 6 so far through 3.  Lone run came on a solo HR in 1st.

Good news, Bud has 6 Ks though 3.  But on 61 pitches.  He needs to have a quick inning or 2

9-pitch 4th; would've been 7 if the ump had called the 0-2 pitch on Reddick that looked like a clear strike.

Anyone actually watching the game?  Tracking it on Gameday makes it look like he's getting squeezed on some pitches (caveat that it is Gameday).  That 9-pitch inning was a good start to making it past the 6th definitely does help.

I've only watched the 4th but Norris and Griffin have both gotten squeezed.

After a fairly quick 4th and 5th.  4 pitch walk and a HBP to start the 6th.  Need a pitcher's best friend here

Nice! Got Lowrie and Cespedes to pop up, then K's Moss swinging at a nasty slider to strand the runners. Probably it for Bud today. And possibly his last pitch as an Astro.

Bud had to reach real deep in the 6th.  pitch count is irrelevant

It means he threw a lot of pitchers.  Overthrowing on at least a couple.  Likely to have less command after that so late in a game

Carter with a rather shitty effort on that double by Sogard. Took him forever to get the ball and get it in.

Bud didn't get the memo to keep the ball out of the OF. Bud gives up a walk then an oppo double that Carter two-steps with while the runner scores from 1st.

Oh boy, now Ambriz.

Question: in what way is Ambriz better than Juan Gutierrez? Royals DFA'd him the other day, and the Angels picked him up on waivers, meaning the Astros passed.

That's some impressive mojo. It even overcame my intentional abandonment of the game an inning earlier. I was assuming that the only reason they actually pulled out the win last night was because I fell asleep in the 9th.
