Yeah, that's good. Too bad his defense hasn't show equal improvement.

If he hits well enough there is always that DH thing.

You'd trust Carter's defense at DH?

Or his apparent effort.

Have his coaches or teammates questioned his effort? Admittedly, I haven't seen a ton of games lately, but I wonder if this might be one of those "I want to see more hustle-face" things.

No one has said anything yet to my knowledge, but I've watched a lot of games this season, and I've seen definite offensive and defensive evidence of what I think was a lack of hustle.

OK. To me he definitely seems too passive/tentative at times, taking too many fat pitches, and not going after catchable balls. But it's also possible that I just want to believe the guys is at least trying hard at all times.

I have confidence that Porter won't put up with lazy. If that is the case. I remember Garner saying he had been around him in Oakland and he's a great kid.

You can be a great kid and still be a bit nonchalant. I have every reason to believe Scrap Iron. I'm just watching him and saying what I've seen.

He's gotta cut down on the strikeout as for hid defense he's going to be the DH with Singleton on the way.

Reuben, gonna need to see your war face before you post again.
You may ask yourself, "How do I work this?"

Because he's a liability?

I was hoping that was it, but apparently, he is still smarting from being hit on the hand while sliding into second last weekend.
