It's pretty late, but the Astros are up one.

What brings you up to this neck of the woods?

Everyone's in bed I guess.

I'm watching the Red Sox and Rays take turns melting down. It's looking like the Red Sox will melt last: it's tied 8-8 in the bottom of the 10th, bases loaded, no outs, Longoria up.

Just noticed that... only because i have both Bailey and Rodney on my fantacrap team (and we count ERA and losses).

And Longoria achieves the difficult 5-2-3 DP, providing the Red Sox with two outs without scoring a run. And then Fuld tries a 2-out drag bunt that Pedroia sniffs out and snuffs out. Pedroia seems like a prick, but he's made a couple of great plays tonight.

Oh, that's going to do your wonders for your score. At least neither of them will get the loss (unless they trot Bailey out there in the bottom of the 11th).

Shit, Carter... gotta dig that out.

Cost a run (and put SEA up 2-1) in B5.

Altuve hit a ground rule double with 1 out, but a Castro groundout and the Golden Ombrero left him stranded.

Keuchel looked like he was crushing through B6, but an infield 1B and an E6 allowed SEA to get runners on 1B and 2B with 2 outs.  Keuchel got the K looking to end it on his 199th pitch (got lucky on the previous pitch, and he hung one that was driven foul). End 6: HOU 1. SEA 2

Astros get 2 on to begin T7, but Paredes can't get the bunt down and ends up striking out. Ball in the dirt and heads-up base running advance Pena (but Carter fails to advance). 1 out, runners at the Corners, 1-1 on Dominguez.

And just like that, a DP ends the threat.  Middle 7: HOU 1, SEA 2.

Carter's head must be stuck in the ground.  Disappointing.

Fish castoff LeBlanc in for Keuchel in B7, and promptly walks the lead off batter on 5 pitches.  And with that I think I know where this one is going, so I'm gonna flip over and catch the end of the Beavers Game 3 against Kansas State...

Astros score 1 in T9, but lose 3-2. On a positive note, nice outing for Keuchel. Had the change working well fora good portion of the evening.

3 errors on the infield tonight.  The infield defense has been a strength all year, bad night.

I don't blame luhnow and company for placing a serious premium on guys who have high BB/K ratios.  This is just brutal.  Fontana cannot get up here fast enough.

ETA: Oops, my bad. I thought this game was in Panama, but it's in Seattle.
