AT&T Park
« on: May 28, 2013, 07:51:46 pm »
I'm in the Bay Area this week, and thought I'd try to catch a game at the Giants' yard. I'll have to go buy a jacket, but other than that, any suggestions?
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

2nd level club seats on the first base side. Doesn't get much better than baseball and a great view of the Bay!
In the end, my dissolution with the game of baseball will not be a result of any loss of love for the game, rather from the realization that I can no longer bear the anger its supposed stewards cause to be built up in my soul. -Lee (01/08/2013)

Skip the garlic fries and grab the crab cake sandwich near LF instead.
Don't think twice, it's alright.

If I could just somehow talk my way into the company luxury box...

I think the Cha-Cha Bowl is pretty highly regarded. Me, I like the garlic fries.
I'm in love with rock and roll and I'll be out all night.

If you decide to sit lower level 1B side, stay below row 45 or so, or you end up under the overhang, a damn claustrophobic spot. I was ambivalent about the garlic fries, but enjoyed the craft beer selection. 21st Amendment was a pretty good pregame spot.

I've sat all over that yard and even caught a Bonds home run in RF. In my opinion, there's not a bad seat in the yard; I love that place. Bring a jacket as you noted.

I saw the Astros play there in 2000 - I remember it was Chris Truby's first ML game.

For the view, the upper deck on first base side is great.  ALWAYS cold.  A great ballpark.

Turns out I can't go tonight, but I'm going to try for the businessman's special tomorrow.  Not sure how the boss will feel about that though.  Rats.

I can probably find tickets.

From what little I've seen, they have the most entertaining and fun promotions at AT&T Park.
