5/29, HOU at COL
« on: May 29, 2013, 08:46:24 pm »
Astros are tied with the Rockies 1-1 in B4.

And that will be the extent of my ability to provide PBP for the game this evening.

Go Astros!
In the end, my dissolution with the game of baseball will not be a result of any loss of love for the game, rather from the realization that I can no longer bear the anger its supposed stewards cause to be built up in my soul. -Lee (01/08/2013)

Tulowhatzisname, who homered earlier, with a 2-out RBI double. With first base open. Can someone pitch around that guy?

2-1 Rox going to T6.

T6:  Barnes with an infield single. Altuve drills one in the gap but is still on 1b. Barnes to 3rd. Runners on the corner, no outs with Castro up.

Altuve swipes 2b. Martinez strikes out. Again. Imagine that.

Pena strikes out to end the "threat". Though in reality, any Astros threat ends when Martinez steps into the box.

T8:  Marwin leads off with a single up the middle. Barnes sacrifices him to 2b. Intentional walk to Altuve. Castro strikes out. Martinez!!!!  RBI single. Perhaps I'm too hard on him. 3-2 Stros.

In spite of the blown save yesterday, this has been three days of respectable pitching. Nice to see.

Since it's no longer a save situation, do you still run Veras out there? Mills would not have done so, but I'm comfortable giving Veras the ball here.

I have never seen a hitter dominate a league like he did the last month of the season a few seasons ago. IIRC he drove in close to 50 in the last month. It was amazing to watch.
