While I am intrigued by the possibility of building a basketball (multi-purpose?) arena in Mueller, I can't imagine how that would work. Neither Airport nor 51st are particularly convenient to navigate when traffic is bad, and with the town center and retail area already planned would they even have the space? Maybe if the urban rail succeeds and car traffic is not the only means for getting there, it might make more sense.

Agreed.  Also not really conducive to student attendance.

students have never supported basketball or baseball in significant numbers, no matter where the arena is.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

Some are hoping they'll take the basketball games back to Gregory Gym, but I don't think the university or the BMDs will ever let that happen.

Yeah, student attendance is the factor that seems least important. The ones that want to go will trek the extra three miles and the ones that won't will justify it with the distance argument (West Campus to the FEC is soooooo farrrrrr").

I forgot UT played basketball.
Everyone's talking, few of them know
The rest are pretending, they put on a show
And if there's a message I guess this is it
Truth isn't easy, the easy part's shit

You're a lucky guy. Maybe they'll be on LHN exclusively next year and the rest of us will be lucky too.

So did Deloss.
