I'm not familiar with "King" Felix. Does he have a bag of tricks?

Yes. He is particularly good when he gets little or no run support.

Last Astros game I attended Darvish was an out away from a perfect game.  Looking forward to seeing King Felix go for it tonight.

Decent chance for no hit-perfect game-record strike out performance tonight.

Kid is phenomenal (or at least he was until he got the neck tat this off season...).

Last Astros game I attended Darvish was an out away from a perfect game.  Looking forward to seeing King Felix go for it tonight.

After HOU games 2-7, I was seriously concerned that he could've sniffed 21 Ks...  (and if Altuve's AB is any indication, we just might tonight...).

HAH. Castro with a double off the wall in left!  The Pefect Perfecto is no longer in order for King Felix (though the 27 K game is still looking like a distinct possibility...).

We're now down by a touchdown.

They had a better chance to come back down two touchdowns against Cleveland than they do one touchdown against Felix (or for that matter, a field goal... or maybe a safety...)

I understand the scoring too:  F8.  What I don't understand is how they can all that a catch when the CFer had to get up and run back and pick up the ball that he didn't catch.

IIRC, Castro with a 2B to LF, 2B to RF, and a walk against Felix tonight. Nice to see!

I thought that they called it a single for Carter, who was then called out for passing Castro on the basepaths.

Couldn't have been a double play.  If Carter is called out, then Castro is not forced to 2B and is safe at 1B.  If Castro is called out at 2B, then Carter is not out for passing him and is safe at 1B.  Either way it's only one out.  They still fucked it up, however.

I think that Eric Wedge was out of the dugout to argue for a double play (force out of Castro and tag out of Carter for turning onto the field of play after touching 1B). However, I agree with you that (a) there should have been only one out recorded (Castro forced at 2B in my opinion) and (b) it wasn't the umpires' finest hour.
