Re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titantic.
I suspect it's because Kuechel won't be available for a few days due to his stint yesterday. It certainly isn't because Obie has done so well in OKC.

Who's our best arm in OkC, irrespective of the arm with which he throws? That's who should have come up in my opinion. I realize that Porter wants lefty options in the bully, but, again in my opinion, adding another marginal lefty (we already have Bedard and Blackley) merely because he's left-handed isn't going to really help the club.

Right now it's Cosart. Crazy numbers and good game reports so far.

It's all about 2015 and beyond.  Bringing Cosart up to pitch random stints of long relief probably isn't in the best long term interest of the Astros or Cosart.  Short term he'd be more useful though

I have trouble with that philosophy from time to time. I think that there should be an exception for the bullpen.

You want to start the clock on people so they lose 110 games instead of 120?

Heard Luhnow on pre-game. He believes is bringing MiL starters up to get their feet wet out of the pen pitching long relief. Thus, one of the reasons for the tandem rotation. Said Olberholtzer has a 92 mph fb and pretty good assortment. The move was made to get a fresh arm in the pen due to the poor performances by starters this week with  3 not getting out of the 1st. He is real pleased with Clemens far.

Plus, Cosart pitched 5 innings yesterday, so he'd be unavailable for 2-3 days. Even less point in bringing him up.

I understand your point, but bringing up lefties just because they are makes no sense to me.

Apparently Jose Cisnero is the latest bullpen arm to ride the OKC /Houston shuttle express.  McTaggart tweeted Jose is on a plain headed to houston.

And Cedeno claimed off waivers by the Nationals.  Casualty of the rotation's woes.  Numbers weren't much this year, but was one of our best arms last year.

Barnes is listed as right field.  I guess they're worried that Ankiel might strike out.

He's not going to suddenly start seeing left handed pitchers as though Egon just handed him a PKE Meter.
