So when does it start?
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Detroit couldn't survive their good AL playoff fortune and the five days of rest. The next WS starts in mid-to-late October 2013!

Same as always.  When the Yankees or Red Sox make it.

The "inferior" league has won the last three series and, I believe, the last three All-Star Games, right? Still losing the head-to-head interleague meetings during the season but I think  the WS is a little more important.

Without looking, when was the last time an NL team played Game 1 of the World Series at home and lost the series?

I'm sure everyone already knows this, but interleague games with the DH always favor the AL.  The NL teams can't afford to have a fat guy who can't play any position on their roster!
