Typical of my fantasy team luck these days. I sit Alex Rios because I didn't like the matchup, and he scores 16 points. In the meantime, I start Jerry Hairston, Jr. In CF, and Donnie Baseball fucked me over and didn't put him in tonight's lineup. Shitfuck.

Is throwing first pitch strikes considered impolite?

Apparently. And going full on most of the hitters is no way to stay in a ballgame past the sixth frame.

Billingsley already at 30 tosses with none out in the second. CJ singles Bogusevic to 3B. Runners at the corners with nobody out for Castro.

JD Martinez has a huge loop in his swing.  He reminds me of Jason Lane.  Late on a good fastball, lost on a good curve.

With 2 outs sure, but with none out to load the bases? (And asking, not critiquing).

With the pitcher up next, a punchout keeps the double play in order, and you waste the man on 3B with no outs.  It worked out as Schafer drew a walk, but the number 8 hitter has to drive that run in.  Not that he should swing at bad pitches, but he had a couple of good pitches to hit.

With the pitcher coming up and the bases loaded, you have to get a hit. The walk scored a run, but it created a problem. However, the big disappointment was Altuve missing two strikes.

A player gets credited with a LOB when he reaches base on a non error or DP?!?

The six LOBsters was a reference to the number for the whole club, OSF. On the road, that's not good. Billingsley has been wobbly, but we've not really hurt him yet.

That's two iffy AB's w/RISP. SIX LOBsters thus far.
It's not a LOB when you walk, and there certainly weren't three runners on, either time.  But hey, if it fits the Castro sucks theory, don't let facts get in the way.

Ron -

First of all, I am confident there is more than one zTV somewhere in your house.

Two - if you really think PW is a better choice you are a lost fucking cause

I've never seen PW, so I have no clue, although whatsherface isn't the ugliest woman I've ever seen.

And yes, I'm watching the game on the TV in the bedroom.

It was a surreal week. I was there for a video shoot. Maybe I'll recount some of it sometime.

The first time my buddy and I left the hotel that evening we passed by a guy who was trying to get people to come and watch his wife, who was getting fucked in the back seat of a car. We passed on that.

I'm sitting here trying to remember how many times I've been shot at - I think it's just twice - and I've had guns pointed at me a few more times than that, but the one that really sticks out in my memory is the one that didn't happen. My wife and I were vacationing in LA one summer and we'd rented a 5.0 Mustang convertible. It was great. In the land of Mercedes and Rolls and Ferraris, that car turned heads everywhere we went. I loved tear-assing around LA and up the coast in it.

Our hotel was around Highland and Franklin, and we'd been driving around for a couple of days with the top down before I saw a paper. Seems there was a sniper shooting drivers right around that intersection, that we'd been through at least a dozen times and pretty much had to go through every day. I could feel the giant target on top of my head every time I went through that area, it was creepy as hell.

I lived in a pretty sketchy neighborhood in DC for a couple of years. It's the fucking Garden of Eden over there now but back then it was bad. One night walking home a couple of kids jumped out of the bushes and one of them stuck a big ass pistol in my face. I remember thinking very clearly that these 15 year olds could not possibly have any conception of the gravity of what they were doing and that they might very well shoot me because they were too stupid not to. They didn't.

It's just not cool at all. I'm not cowboy enough, and wasn't back then, to try to do something about it. The only thing on my mind usually was doing whatever it was they wanted that would make the gun go away.

The first time I had one pointed at me I think I was five. We were in the car, dad was driving, mom in the passenger seat and I was in the back seat, leaning over the front seat, looking out the windshield which was the normal posture for 1965 driving. We rolled up to a convenience store for something, pulled up to the front to park and two guys came running out with guns. One of them pointed it at us in the car. My mom screamed, "Get down!" at me, dad ducked, threw it in reverse and jammed on the gas, and I just sat there, watching this guy point his gun at me and then as we backed up he ran off.
