More Pujols facts...
« on: May 17, 2012, 02:07:50 pm »
Last night I posted this little 'nugget' in the GZ:

For your entertainment... Jamie Moyer (.250) has a better OBP in 2012 than Albert Pujols (.247) does...

Here are some more Albert Pujols facts for ya (via Sean Pendergast, LINK):

2. The current leading slugger in Major League Baseball is Josh Hamilton (.838). He could go hitless in his next 231 at-bats and still be ahead of Pujols' current .307 slugging percentage.

4. The only regular players in the American League with a lower OPS are Justin Smoak, Kurt Suzuki, Alexei Ramirez, and Erick Aybar.
In the end, my dissolution with the game of baseball will not be a result of any loss of love for the game, rather from the realization that I can no longer bear the anger its supposed stewards cause to be built up in my soul. -Lee (01/08/2013)

It's obvious that this man is missing his animus...his sparkplug...the one person who always had a pat on the butt and a compliment (usually about his butt) no matter how dire the situation.

this really is weird to me. when we were in AZ, he was tearing up ST.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

My favorite part is that the Angels fired Mickey Hatcher who had been the hitting coach for 13 years because Albert wasn't hitting.  First day on the job for his replacement and Albert goes deep.
