JD needs a break right now. He's lost at the plate.

You're right. He's really pressing. And Lowrie's errorless streak comes to an end, and it costs us a run. Harrell needs to start throwing more strikes. This every other pitch pace that he's on can't continue for very long.

In between whining about the strike zone, Milo was opining about some strategical something -or-other that the Fish were doing, but I didn't hear what it was. He was vexed though.

Schafer doubled, went to third on a passed ball and scored when Buck threw it into left. 1-1 after one.

It seems much worse tonight, like he's eating dinner while calling the game. He's actually quick on the action, but the tongue isn't working so well.

Nah, he's completely on top of the game action. It's not a stroke, he's just old and muscle control and fatigue hit him hard. I hope I can be that active when I'm 206.

DoRay expanding on the strategery - offering that the Fishmen are stepping out and slow-playing Harrell because Ozzie knows him from Chicago and he's a quick tempo guy.

Horseshit non-call on strike 3 the pitch before Buck singled, too.

This isn't the crappy Johnson of the beginning of the year as his breaking pitches and change are pretty damn good, but the Astos are still within striking distance.

I know having one up and in is scary, but acting like a horse's ass after getting hit in a close game when it's obvious nobody is trying to send a message just reeks of "Look at me". What a douchebag.

There's nobody on the Fish with a particularly high baseball IQ.  They look up to Ozzie.

Bogey mastering going the other way.  NTTAWWT.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

Why on earth did Stanton dive for that ball?

He had a brain cramp. The Fish were playing no doubles,so you're supposed to play the ball on the bounce, not give the lumbering batter a triple by trying to get on web gems.

I watch maybe two games a week now yet I could have told you that asking Castro to bunt would be a bad idea. Just fucking wasting an out.

I knew when they flashed that Castro had one sacrifice bunt that it was going to be a shitty AB.

Buck needs to take his pinch hitting strategy to the plate with him more often.  2 extra base hits in 45 PAs when starting, 3 in 8 when pinch hitting.

Maybe I'm projecting, but it would have been nice to have the confidence to throw a slider in the dirt with a runner on 3rd

Just arranging things neatly for another Supreme Court game score.

Huh?  There have been: 6, 7, 9, 10, 9, 8, and 9 Justices on the US Supreme Court, but never 11... (I can only presume you are projecting a 6-5 Astros win...).

Yeah, stupid Happ! None of our position players could swing anything better than a rolled up newspaper in extras, but YOU could've saved us with a 2 run home run with nobody on in the 12th! JERKFACE!

I understand your point. But my point was go down hacking. You're a pitcher being asked to pinch hit. Don't get cheated.
