2012 NFL Draft
« on: April 25, 2012, 02:13:57 pm »
Luck & RGIII seem to be certainties...beyond that it's anybody's guess.

Texans take Stephen Hill, WR, GT....although I think they can trade down a bit and still get him.  In the first 3 rounds they will grab WR, OLB, G/T

Who do you think the Texans take?

I'm hearing they are looking at WRs. Anything to get Jacoby less time is a plus.
It's my estimation that every man ever got a statue made of 'em was one kinda sombitch or another.

I've been hearing they might take the tight end from Stanford in the first.

If you don't like that idea, just pretend he's a WR. 6'4, 244, great hands, good routes, High 4.4s to low 4.5s.

I'm very much in favor of this.

I like it.  2 tight end attack like the Pats have except the Texans can run the ball as well as pass the ball.

If he goes in the first round, he will owe Rob Gronkowski a lot of money.

I am confident that the Texans will draft a player in the first round that has not been mentioned by any of us as even a remote possibility.

With their first pick, the Houston Texans select Randy Bullock, Place kicker.

Nah, rumor is they're trading up to take him in the second.

I am too but I bet they go OLB. OL is another real possibility I think, particularly OT. I bet they get their WR in the second.

Ah yes. I remember it well when the Saints used their no. 1 pick on K/P Russell Erxleben, which was a serious waste of a no. 1 pick.

At least the Saints got outstanding stock market tips out of that deal. More than they would get out of listening to the other team's communications I would guess.

I was right, of course. OLB.

I like the picks thus far.  The WR from Ohio state may be a steel.  I remember seeing him in a few games (before suspensions) and he seemed to have good size and ball hawking.

While I thought they would go with a WR like hill, I figured the next option would have been a te or ol.  Didn't think mericlus was a possibility.  Would have loved to see the stanford te.

Speaking of the stanford te, the colts seem to have had a nice draft thus far....

Can anyone confirm for me whether Keenum was signed by the Texans, and Sammy Brown by the Rams? I've got UH students telling me on Facebook that Beman is reporting these as fact, but I can't seem to confirm. Thanks!

Couldn't trade him for squat.

He dropped many, many passes and punts in his career as a Texan.  However, his most spectacular fuck-up came in the most high-profile situation he'd ever faced.  That's a helluva bell to unring.

I wanted him gone long before the Baltimore Bollock, but GMs around the league are not join to endear themselves to their fans by signing that guy who is known outside of Houston only for that game-crushing fuckup.
