Astros at Brewers 4/25: Daytime Baseball:
« on: April 25, 2012, 12:55:20 pm »
Top 1:
Altuve singles, JD doubles him home.

Bottom 1:
PenisNose 2 run HR.

Top 2:
Snyder HBP
Happ SAC
Schaefer F8
Altuve RBI single
JD walk
Lee RBI single, JD to 3b when Braun whiffs on the pickup.
JD scores on PB (man, is that a lot of space to the backstop).

Correction: Scorer somehow ruled that a wild pitch.  It was knee high and inside, but any catcher should make that play.

B2:

Happ again starts "protecting" his lead by surrendering a no-doubt HR to Slappy Ishakawa.

JD earlier: Altuve has been 0-2 13 times this season, and he's hit .385 in those at-bats. Small sample, but jeez that's impressive.

Happ opens B3 single-double, and the double from Errormiss barely stayed in the yard.  No way he makes it through 5 today.

Runner scores against the Astros on a wild pitch.  Stop me if you heard that one before

edit: according to Doray, that is the third run for the Brewers on a wild pitch in the series.

It's knotted at 4 through middle 4.  Mr. The Altuve 3-3 (2R, RBI) and JD 2-2 (BB, R, RBI).

Misc. Mr. Happy Note: Per JD, Lyles has 24 Ks in 26 IP with 4 BB thusfar this season.

Other Misc. MiLB notes: Springer went 4-4 last night after an 0-5 (5 Ks) the night before.  And Nash's 8 HRs lead MiLB (but he also has 22 Ks).

Yep, bastard coulda easily hit for the cycle last night but selfishly chose to hit a HR in his last AB rather than a 2B...

Happ with 7 Ks in 3.2 innings?

Which reminds me, Cisnero had 12 Ks in 5 IP last night for Corpus.  Per the BusRider in the stands for the game:

I'm at the game. Another homer for Singleton. 2 homers and a triple.

Goebbert dropped a fly ball they ruled a hit. Cisnero should have gone 5 scoreless with 12 Ks.

And in case you missed it, a video of Singleton's HR off the batters eye last night (1st HR of the night). LINK

JD and Brownie with an interesting stat: Astros leading MLB with 154 LOBsters (Lucas notes a lot of those with the bases juiced).  Next are the Rangers with 133 and the Yankmes with 132...

Happ allowed to bat with runners at the corners and 1 out.  Apparantly that one extra inning from Happ is more important then taking the lead

CJ pops up to right though, and now it's the .111 hitting Chris Snyder.

Sir, we just received a fax from a Mr. Snyder's office. It appears to just say Fuck You several dozen times.

I took that to mean that he was only going to go one more inning anyway, not like 93 was a magic number. At that rate though, he'd be looking at 115-120 after the next inning.

So I'm trying to figure this out.  Is all the careful pbp here today a subtle commentary on blackouts?  Or maybe you are all in the same room cell and just posting random thoughts?  I got tired of the gameday delay and foolishly thought there might be some baseball talk here.

Dude, you're brighter than that...  In any event, Braun got all pissy after K'ing (throwing down his helmet in disgust), Gomez almost got beaned in the head and gave Carpenter(?) a big stare-down.  Mr. The Altuve is 4-5, JD is 3-4, and Bogusevic's had some decent hits.  Oh yeah, and its 7-4 HOU with 1 out B8.

And since there appears to be an actual interest in some sorta PBP type stuff, I'll do my dandiest here...

Corey Hart with a HR (1-2 pitch?) to cut the 'Stros lead to 7-5.  Next dude got a 1B, so there is 1 out w/runner on 1B.  Mills to the mound, but keeps Carpenter in (WW and F Rodriguez warm in the pen).

Ok. Single up the middle. One out. Tying run up. Mills leave Carpenter in to face Lucroy. Carpenter induces a weak popup to Carlos. Two down. Mills turns to Wright.

Lucroix(?) pops out to Carlos in foul ground on the 0-2 pitch. B8: 2 outs, runner on 1B. Ishikawa up. Carpenter still in.  Okay, maybe not.  Get ready for some lefty-on-lefty action, as WW is being summoned from the pen.  [Alternatively, if I wanted to 'Mr. Happy it', get ready for WW to walk Ishikawa...)...

Get the fuck out of the way, you goon. Jesus. Ever seen that happen twice off one pitcher?

McClendon takes another hard grounder off the body, deflects right to short stop for your routine 1-6-3 putout at first.

The TV is in behind the bumper pool table, and just around the corner from the jacuzzi. It's easy to miss.

Hopefully he's sweeping up the shitty first few pages of yesterday's GameZone.

I was in court on my child support matter in Louisiana getting a stern lecture from a judge who wanted to put me in jail for 60 days. She actually sentenced me to 60 days but deferred it. Cunt.

There's a whole lot to the story, Biz. I have been paying to the tune of $3,900 per month for a long time but the economy put me behind--no malicious intent on my part--just too much month at the end of the money. It is very difficult to reduce child support here. It is my fault because it was set at a time when I was representing myself (yeah, I know now--a fool for a client) However, I just got it reduced. To $726.
