I guess I don't understand the people who complain about DirecTV losing its signal in a thread where we are comparing it to cable. I had cable from probably 1982 to around 2005. I have had DirecTV since then. Cable went out on a much much greater frequency than Satellite does, probably by a factor of 10. And when the cable goes out, you sit there with your fingers crossed hoping it comes back on. With DirecTV, if I lose the signal I can pretty much look at the window and know when it is coming back on. Reliability of service is the #1 reason I like satellite more than cable.
As for NFL Package, I have had it for a few years and it is a waste for me. 80% of games are on at the same time, so it isn't like I get to watch a bunch of games, at the noon time slot I either watch the Texans or the RedZone channel. I do like NFL package for the late games when there is only 4 to chose from and it is easy to flip back and forth. I really wish the NFL would space out the games better. Start some East Coast games at 11 EST then some at 12:30 EST, the Central time zone games at 2 and 3 EST, then do something similar to the West Coast games.
