No, not Murdoch: Bobby Petrino. If Arkansas didn't know what they were getting when they hired him, they sure do now.

I don't see how he can survive something this blatantly obvious. They apparently already had their thing going when she was hired. And she's engaged to another coach (the swimming coach?). Pretty tawdry.

For $55,000 a year, which is a shitload more than most other state employees make.

Apparently she's also paid by the Sports Foundation, and it ends up being more than $100K.

Arkansas Online has several shots of her dutifully holding his pen (pun intended) at signing events- not a bad way for her to make a living, excepting for the "he's the ugliest guy in America" problem.

Black prostitutes in Little Rock should be nervous- the same folks who paid for Petrino's whore need to show the good Klansmen there in Arkansas that sex for money isn't tolerated.

story getting worse: http://www.boston.com/sports/colleges/football/articles/2012/04/07/petrino_details_emerge/

I wonder which of the Arkansas coordinators are licking their lips right now. It isn't often that an SEC head coaching job is available on such short notice.

So if he is fired, how long until he is rehired?  October?  Sooner?

curious why someone's private life is a factor in employment? this is not a Cleve Bryant situation, apparently. sexual harassment, ok, fire him, but a consensual affair?

1.  He has a morals clause in his contract.
2.  He hired someone he was having an affair with at a salary above that which was commensurate with the work.
3.  He involved the state police in covering it up.

Maybe not, but that scandal was far more insidious. Petrino's case was poor discretion. Paterno harbored a child molester.

Although I applaud Arkansas for their action I'm pretty damned surprised.  I heard E Hogan yesterday say that Patrino had increased football revenues by $37M annually.  That more than getting UA into the top 5 would make me believe they would keep him around.  I have to believe this wasn't the first time that Bobby lied to Long.

Also find it hard to believe that Jerry Jones hasn't popped off on the subject.

John L Smith takes a job at Weber St (his alma mater) in December, then leaves after Spring practice.  He cites wanting 1 last chance to win a MNC.  Completely fucks over Weber, they are now scrambling for a coach who will not have a Spring practice to prepare his team.  What a screw job those current Weber St players and recruits got.

When John L left Louisville, he told he kids he was leaving during the 1/2 time of their bowl game.  Good guy, fitting replacement for that POS Petrino.  Arky goes 8-4 at best this year.

Arkansas doesn't have great talent, but they've got a great scheme for their talent.  If Smith can stay out of the way, they've got a good shot in the SEC West.  If he starts trying to coach, well, Arky should hope that past performance is not indicative of future performance.

I agree they have fantastic talent, but they also play Alabama, @Auburn, @USC and LSU, plus A&M, @MSU.  I think they lose 4 of those.
