March Madness
« on: March 08, 2012, 11:58:55 am »
So first off, both of my teams are already out of it, each one losing in the last couple of moments after having been ahead basically the entire game. Blargh.

Second, I gotta say, I'm gonna get a migraine from turning on the Baylor game just now and seeing those neon yellow unis.  :o

If those uniforms mean Baylor gets that Perry Jones, then I'll take 'em any day and twice on Sunday.

Geez, talk about that gang that couldn't shoot straight. This Longhorns team is setting new records, and they're not the good kind.

And yet still in the game somehow.  This team at least does play D.

Sure is.  Needs to stay out of foul trouble.

Despite my criticisms of Barnes for the last couple years... big props to him for sticking with JCB and developing him into a team leader.

That was the smart end-of-game execution that's been lacking this year. Great job by all of them, particularly the defensive effort in the last couple of minutes.

Nice work Horns.  What are their chances tonight against Mizzou?  Would love to see them get a win but Haith has done a really good job with the tigers.

Marshall beat Tulsa last night, 105-100, in triple overtime. 5 players fouled out- 4 from Tulsa and 1 from MU. A total of 71 fouls was called in the game. I've never heard of such a thing.

They can play with anyone left except KU.  Problem is they almost always choke in the end.  Nice to see them finally win one last night.  That is the first win like that I can remember this year.

Not to be a spoiler though, they did try to choke it.  Gave up a 6 point lead within a matter of minutes near the end, mainly by letting the shot clock wind down instead of continuing with the flow.  Lucky that Brown's circus shot fell, or they would have blown another.

The win last night was huge.   It pretty much locked them into the tournament.

Sorry, those uniforms eliminate any possibility of pulling for Baylor.

Lamar in (the play-in, anyway.)

They were floundering a few weeks ago, but have been kicking ass since Pat Knight went ballistic on them after an uninspired loss on Feb.22.

Wonder where he learned that?
