Vols vs Coogs on streaming on ESPN3, 6-1 favor in favor of Houston. Rice and Texas in the next game. Ah baseball...

Well crap.  I can't get ESPN 3 with DirecTV.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

And you can't get it with TW in Austin, either. At least not in my neck of the woods.

And it would be fun to watch the Horns and the Owls, too. You know, if the Longhorn Network actually existed.

Channel 616 on DirecTV has OSU vs TCU, though.  At least it is baseball.

ESPN 3 is based on your isp, not your tv provider. I don't think any cable/satellite provider has it as an actual channel. Check your isp to see if they provide it to you. I use Kabletown (Comcast) and I have it.

Well, what do you know: I just checked again, and now I can get it. Of course, it doesn't solve the LHN problem, but it's a start.

Not only that, but the game is live tomorrow (Sunday) on MLBTV at 3.  At least according to the Comcast guide.

Edit:  it could just be a broadcast of today's game, it doesn't say it's live.

Per Gameday/radio:

Astros up 2-0, bottom 4th. CJ just hit a HR after a Cust walk.

(He shall be) Livan and Weiland have both thrown 2 shutout innings.

Shuck and Altuve have the other Astro hits. I didn't hear the first 2 innings, so no word on how Castro looked behind the plate or anything.

The cocksuckers at Time Warner only let you watch Espn3 if you are a cable subscriber, not if you are an internet subscriber. Nevermind that all the other providers are just ISPs. Cocksuckers.

Ahum, you have it backwards. Time Warner is one of the providers of many that ESPN3 will stream from. If you're a TW subscriber, you merely give ESPN3 the code that is provided by TW. If ESPN3 wanted anyone and everyone to have the provision, then blame them for not doing so.

Noe, as usual I have no idea what you are saying. TW made a decision to provide Espn3 to their TV subscribers but not their internet only subscribers, which is what I am bitching about.

I was able to watch ESPN3 last spring even though I didn't have a cable TV subscription until August or September.  I guess it could've just been a bank error in my favor.

Very efficient scoring today on five hits, even though we were 0-7 w/RISP.

Chris Snyder and now Fernando Martinez with homers, too. The wind is blowing out to LF fairly hard, although that probably only made a difference on the F-Mart one.

9-1 Astros. Gorzalanny got shelled.

I would bet someone $50 they won't lose 106 (or more) games this year. Would I bet $500? No.

I guess I am an optimist, but I see no reason this team should be awful.  They will learn how to win some of those close games.  Here's hoping for 72 wins and finishing ahead of the Pirates and Cubs.

First time to see Clemens.  He was impressive, for the one inning he threw at least.  His fastball velocity was up with all who threw today. Nice movement also.

I'm in an optimistic mood, as well. I think they'll still be a well below-average team this season, but with some growth, a hopefully quasi-solidified bullpen, and weaker division they should win a few more games.

Right - there are about a billion internet service providers that provide access to ESPN3 (including ATT DSL and Verizon FIOS internet-only, even though both also have comparable TV products), but TW in their infinite wisdom has deigned not to.

What your initial post meant, I still have no idea.

Gotcha.

The problem here is that I hate every possible provider of internet service. TW has been the least terrible on a day to day basis, but it does piss me off that they don't offer ESPN3. AT&T who I was with before had ESPN3, but went down about twice a week.

The best compromise I have found so far is using my parents AT&T login when I need to watch something.
