I've said it before, but I'll say it again. Happ's stuff isn't good enough to pitch up in the zone consistently. He needs to work on his hammer and pitch down in the zone.

I'm with Happy on this, though: Happ seems to think he can work up in the zone, and his shit just isn't that good. If he isn't down, he's going to get drilled. And, really, if he isn't down and on the corners, he's going to get drilled.

J: he pitches up in the zone on purpose. I've seen him interviewed. He came up as a flyball and strikeout pitcher. His stuff is good enough to do that all the way up to AAA. However, it isn't good enough to do it consistently in the big leagues in my opinion. Additionally, he throws way too many pitches, and his fastballs have almost no run on them. If I was him, I'd work on a cutter and work hard on my hook. Take a page from Wandy.
