So, I wonder will be playing 3B for the Astros next year. Am I giving up on CJ too soon? His career looks to be going the way of Truby to me. Seeing him batting 5th is sad.

Same here, RB. I spent seven weeks in Chicago in rehab and really took advantage of the city. It was in the late summer time and early fall. I went to Cubs games, White Sox games, Blackhawks games and a Bears game.

I didn't see much of yesterday's game, but in the one CJ AB I saw his bat looked *really* slow.

I may be going there for the first time next month.  I am thinking of seeing if I can stay an extra day and visit Wrigley.  I hate the Cubs, but have always wanted to go to a game in both the Chicago stadiums.

I saw some Fucktard in a fukudome t-shirtat buffalo grill this morning.  There was a point to this anecdote a one time.  I'd try and explain the inherent terribleness of said yuppie character waiting in line at such an establishment, bit that would probably involve a good bit of self- loathing, which is really too much for a Sunday afternoon.  I take solace in the fact that I was not, at least, wearing a fukudome t- shirt.

While this team may have a worse record than the Cubs, they can never be inferior to those cocksuckers.

Nope.  Just thinking how much better he looks in it than say, Carlos Lee or Wallace. Just looking at body type.

Don't think he is that attractive....too young....just a baby.

Nope.  Just thinking how much better he looks in it than say, Carlos Lee or Wallace. Just looking at body type.

Maybe, but how does he fill out a penguin costume? Hmm?

I'm wondering what they'll do to Altuve on the rookie road trip. Make him dress up as a munchkin from Wizard of Oz?

Nice play there by Lyles to get Soto.

It's 3-1 but it feels like 11-1. Should I just give it time?

Always nice to think that those delirious fucktards go through the roller coaster of emotion, oohing and aahing on every pitch like it's Game 7, and that when they end an inning just like this last one it takes some clicks off of their clock.

The dry turd of reality is that they're too stupid to realize what's going on, they just want another Heileman's.

I'm starting to envision myself positioned on the second tier of that train station.  Crouched.  Wearing all black, down to supple leather gloves that clutch a titanium sniper rifle.  I peer through the scope, centered upon a dancing man, slightly balding, also wearing black.  I take a deep breath.

This is not good.

IMO his value will never be higher than it is now, and with The Devil advising him he won't be staying after becoming an FA. I'll miss seeing him in the HOU OF...but... get a good haul for him and I'll be just fine with it!

Agree with this x1000. Like I've said before, he's not a sexy trade acquisition. He doesn't hit any homers. I'm bummed that he switched to Boras, and I can understand the arguments in favor of trading him now, but... I think they may be better off keeping him and either trading him next July or getting draft picks.

As far as it being Ed's job... I have to say, I think Boras stands a lot better chance of getting Bourn's true value (or exceeding it).

So like I said earlier, I wonder who plays 3B next year. The closest thing they have to a 3B prospect is, what... Jonathan Meyer, doing so-so in Lancaster? Paredes, hitting OK at Corpus but very shaky defensively (both at 2B and 3B), and raw overall?

My FTC-fan friend who lived up here moved to Katy last week. She decorated her office with her Cubs pennant, her Cubs coffee mug, her pictures of Wrigley, and every single person who came in to say hello and introduce themselves to her did a double-take and asked her, some incredulously, some disgustedly, "Really?"

The Valleycats' radio guys called him "Kwasi", and, since that's obviously what he'd be called if he ever makes it to Houston, I figure that's as handy a name as any.

But yeah, I'm thinking 2012 could bring a cheapo veteran stop-gap at 3rd. Did Joe Crede retire?

He's extraordinarily fast. There's no way he'd be a double-play candidate.
They IBB'd him with a runner on 3rd only. Just wondering why you don't go after the weak hitter there.

Hmm. On the Final Takes from MMPUS there are always lots of shots of hot chicks. On the ones from Wrigley, it's guys, ballplayers and mules in halter tops. Weird.

To make up for not allowing that goat access 100+ years ago, now they have to let every barnyard animal that shows up.
