Why would the crowd be booing player introductions?!
I wish the first word I had said when I was born was 'quote'. Then before I die, I could say, 'unquote.' --Steven Wright

Berman mercifully avoiding the "back, back, back" call.  Unmercifully, he continues to announce.

Cano is DESTROYING the ball!
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed
Up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy
But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

The 500 ft blast to center was McGwire on roids-esque, only hit harder and more on a line.

He's a Yankee. What's your question.

Sorry.

On another note I realized that if I change the language preference on my TV to Spanish I can avoid BAAAAAACKBACKBACKBACKBACK in favor of A LO PROFUNDOOOOO Y NOOOOOOO, NOno NOno NOOOO! DIGANLE QUE NO A ESA PELOTA! which, for now, is marginally less irritating.

Who isn't this year?
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when after one homer, he screamed, "THAT'S DISGUSTING!" so I just shook my head.

Unsurprisingly, I didn't miss a thing by having the sound muted for most of the parts I watched. Even without Berman telling me, I knew whether it was a home run or not...
In the end, my dissolution with the game of baseball will not be a result of any loss of love for the game, rather from the realization that I can no longer bear the anger its supposed stewards cause to be built up in my soul. -Lee (01/08/2013)
