In-fucking-credible. Is JR Towles brain-dead?ETA: And Hall didn't help much, either.
Towles and Hall make a lethal combo. Just unbearably irresponsible.
Just turned it on, what the heck happened?
Reyes on first, some other met on third, two outs. Reyes steals, Towles decides to make the futile throw to second, guy on third steals home with no throw because Hall for some reason tried to pretend to the ump that he made the tag in time.

Jeeez.
I hopped over to the golf tournament for a few minutes. Home run?
I don't mind the fact that they lose due to inferior talent. That happens. But shit like this is just unwatchable.
This shit is unwatchable. Bad baseball, stupid baseball. The dropped pop up, the steal of home, Aneurysm's terrible bunting. Horrible.
Angel Hernandez blowing the call at 2b in the first inning I expect. But that's Little League shit.
We don't have an official SnS nickname for him yet? Douchebag, fuckstick, asshat, something?
I picked the game up in the seventh inning. How did Aneury look before he hit the wall.
Add to that the fact that the fucking HPU gave Daniel Murphy a walk on ball 3 in the 6th inning.
JD and Brownie were saying that there may have been an earlier ball called for going to his mouth, so that although there were only three pitches there were in fact four balls.
For the first four innings he looked pretty solid. But he seems kind of fragile: if the defense screws up behind him, he unravels pretty quickly.
That is a sign of youth. It sounds like a matter also of going through the order a second time, so he needs to gameplan a bit more and watch some more film. The obvious lack of command (four BBs in five innings) led to the high pitch count.
He had 46 pitches through four innings.
And finished with 90 in 5 plus IP.
Yes, but "obvious lack of command" leading to a high pitch count didn't occur until the 5th. So it is misleading to blame Aneury's woes in the 5th on a high pitch count.
It's true, his fastball command was sharp til he fell apart. His secondary stuff, mainly his change, needs lots of work, but for four innings yesterday, he looked good. It wasn't just a random, lucky four inning stretch.
It looked to me like in the fifth he simply got tired.
