Angel Sanchez

I wonder if he might slide over to 2B when Barmes comes back, at least until he cools off. I know, I know, it's only 11 games, but I mean... wow. The man has looked really good at the plate. I was shocked when he struck out against Marmol yesterday.

i can't imagine they are going to sit bill hall, especially since he's been producing better of late.

I bet they ease Barmes in, a little bit at a time until the inevitable cooling off of Sanchez coincides with Barmes taking over.

Barmes can play third, just saying.

I think we'd be more likely to see Hall at 3B, with Sanchez (or Kepp when he comes back) at 2B. I think they like Barmes' D at SS. But, I don't think they'll be too quick to pull the plug on CJ. Isn't that what this year is about, seeing if the young guys can figure it out?

Hall was interviewed the other night, and made a huuuuuuge point about saying how much he prefers having a settled position and prefers that settled position to be 2B.  Said that he was "cursed" with the ability to play all around the infield, but 2B's where his heart is.  Or words to that effect.

One man's curse could be the same man's blessing if he continues striking out 5 times more often than he gets on base.

Hopefully he turns it around, though.

He has been better this week, and had a good game last night.  Made a couple of special plays in the field too, one of which was robbed by the 1B Ump.

He made the plays, but I couldn't help thinking as I watched them that a man with a little more quickness (which would not make that man particularly quick) would have made those plays with a lot less drama.

I haven't noticed any particular lack of quickness in Hall.  In fact, the opposite.  He seems to have good range and a solid arm.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

I think Hall's build makes him look slower.  Between him and Wallace, the right side of the infield has no shortage of rump roast.

He seemed pretty slow to me when going out for that pop-up, but perhaps that was hesitation on his part caused by the unpredictability of an onrushing FotF.

I agree. Certainly much more range than Keppinger.

No CJ tonight.

He was HBP last night and McTaggs speculates he's still smarting from it.

CJ back in tonight's lineup, per Footer.

And Wilton Lopez is on the DL (per McTaggart). Jose Valdez being called up from OKC.
