just saw his first AB for the turds.  not as weird as i thought, but maybe i got over the "seeing a franchise mainstay in a different uniform" thing when he was traded to NYY last year.

He struck out swinging so it was actually comfortingly familiar.

His 'defensive' replacement and his noodle arm, two-hopped a routine throw back into second base and cost them the game. If that's what they have for right field, then I like what we have a little more.

After blowing a 9th-inning lead, no less. And Pujols hit into about a dozen GIDPs.

And the Brewers coughed up a hairball on a 2-out, 2-run walk-off homer by the Reds.

Then we'll alert the authorities in Pinellas County and have them round him up.

I just watched my first AB for Lance Berkman, Co-ard.

He's clearly lost a lot of weight.  Just flew from 1st to 3rd on a solid single to right.

You know what?  Fuck that guy.

Flipping by the game last night, saw him lose his bat in the stands.  Seems like it was either him or Pence who did that a lot last year.  They need a stat for that.

Nice to see the Pirates making life miserable for the cubs and cards.  That second baseman for the Pirates is on fire.

Yessir, the Piroots tossed the Turdinals another shitburger last night. I watched some of it. I think that the Pirates just may surprise some folks this year.

Unfortunately, this makes the case stronger for the Astros to be rock bottom in the National League this year.

It's not the slot where you pick but what you do with it that matters.

Well, see, that's the problem. All of their relatively highly paid players are in the final years of their respective contracts. The only guy I can see them wanting to move for salary reasons is Ronny Cedeño who if I recall correctly is in his last arbitration-eligible year. And it's not as if losing Ronny Cedeño would be a huge blow to the club.

No, I think Clint Hurdle knows what he's going and is going to pull that team out of the cellar.
